An Eye on the Future
It's no secret that Montcalm County has seen big changes over the past couple years. One of the challenges of a strong community foundation is being able to adapt and expand to meet the challenges we currently face and the challenges that have not yet confronted us. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the Central Montcalm area through grants funded by the annual earnings generated from the gifts, bequests, and estates contributed as endowments. With annual earnings from these permanent endowments, many agencies, institutions, and charitable organizations are able to support programs for the long-term benefit of CM residents. Despite the uncertain economy, our Foundation funds remain a cornerstone for our area. This past August, the Board engaged in strategic planning to determine how to best prepare for and embrace the future. One result of this session is that through a generous donation, the Foundation has secured a storefront to help create more of a community presence. This visibility is critical to not only increase the awareness about the good works of the Foundation but to generate additional resource investment. The CMCF's new storefront is located at 304 Main Street, Stanton, MI (William J. McKeown Building) and the new phone number is 989-289-2312. The Central Montcalm Community Foundation Board continues to keep an eye to the future as our work is "For Good, For Ever."
