A Foundation for the Future

"It takes a noble man to plant a seed for a tree that will someday give shade to people he may never meet.” - David E. Trueblood, V.P. for Communications & Civic Relations, Cambridge (MA) Community Foundation

As the Central Montcalm Community Foundation (CMCF) looks forward to year 25, we reflect not only on what we have been able to accomplish in the past 24 years, but also to look forward to what we will be able to do with the next 25. We started with a small amount of money in 1993 and have grown our endowments to almost $1.2 million dollars. That is quite an accomplishment for a small organization in Montcalm County! We have been able to fund countless organizations over the years to help support children, families, youth and seniors, as well as provide several scholarships each year to graduating seniors. This is all made possible by the generous donations of many in our area. It is always heartwarming to hear stories from people who have benefitted from a grant or scholarship from the CMCF. You realize that every little bit helps someone. People are so appreciative and want to find a way to give back!

We have many options for people who wish to give to the CMCF. Make sure you read about options with Amazon and Giving Tuesday in this annual report. They are new to our organization this year and are easy ways to make donations. We continue to add new endowments each year. New this year are the Crooks Farm Endowment and the Chapin Endowment. The donations from these families will help fund many grants over the upcoming years.

As a supporter of the CMCF, you should be proud of the many accomplishments we have made over the past years. You have helped to make it all possible. We invite you to continue to help keep our community strong, from our youngest to our oldest!
