A timeline of growth & impact

1998

Recognized as a Community Foundation

The original Foundation was recognized by the State of Michigan as a Community Foundation in order to better assist the needs of the area and to grow the Foundation’s asset base.

2001

Homecoming Traditions Begin

The Central Montcalm Community Foundation begins an annual tradition of supplying a Homecoming meal before the game as a way to give back to the community.

2002

First Year of Golf Outing

The Foundation launches its first golf outing as a way to fundraise – and engage the community. The annual tradition is now in its 23rd year.

2007

First Year of The Big Bash

The Foundation establishes its signature event, The Big Bash, which brings community members together for an evening of fun and fundraising to support the Foundation’s many efforts.

2013

Fund Reaches $1 Million

CMCF marks a major milestone by reaching $1 million assets under management, allowing the Foundation to make an even greater impact in the community.

2023

Assets Reach $2 Million

CMCF reaches the $2 million mark with assets under management and celebrates the Bash’s 13th year.

2023

Montcalm Community College Project Funding

CMCF provides $35,000 to Montcalm Community College to help with facility improvements. This was the largest project completed by the Foundation in its history at that time.

Working Toward $3 Million

The Central Montcalm Community Foundation remains a crucial funder in the area as we work toward our goal of $3 million assets under management.
